A year later, my son Angad was born. I got busy spending time with my son and socializing in the army. However, I never realized that our relationship was going nowhere as we had no connection.
My life took a massive turn when one day I discovered that my husband was hiding his interactions with another woman. I was hurt and went into deep pain. I requested him to stop but in vain. The worst was when my family told me to adjust.
I remember when my mom, after knowing the truth, decided to meet his family instead of questioning him for what he did. He was asked why he didn’t want to live with me as if I was the one to be blamed. I came back crying, back with a vital decision that my self-respect was above all the money and security.
This incident strained my relationship with my mom, and we started having continuous arguments. One fine day, I left my mom’s house with a seven-year-old child, only with a few thousand rupees in my account and no source of income.
You know, the irony is, we as women are always asked to adjust and compromise in a relationship, no matter what the man does. A man is allowed to cheat on his wife or do whatever he wants, but when a woman decides to choose a path for herself, she is always called selfish.
When I decided to move out of my mom’s place, I didn’t know that I would have to go through so many challenges. I tried working in schools; however, I got humiliated many times by the seniors as they knew that I was going through a separation and I was in need of this job.
That’s why I started exploring more options like modeling, interior designing, etc., however, nothing was working for me. My life went through a lot of financial struggle as I had the responsibility of my child, and I didn’t want him to suffer due to my decisions. I also went through depression as I couldn’t take the pain of being completely lonely.
I sold and pawned all my jewellery to put a roof over my child’s head. And that is when I realized that if I were financially independent, I would not have to go through all this trouble.
Well, we all know when God closes one door, he opens another for you. One day I got a ping on Facebook from a college friend of mine. It was my college-time friend Abhishek. We instantly connected as we were going through the same life challenges: a failed marriage and financial struggle.
It took me two long years to get divorced, and I married my friend Abhishek. Often, our children ask us where they were during our wedding and why their photo isn’t in the marriage album. But my son was the most excited that day and enjoyed it even more than us.
We supported each other through tough times, but we were still struggling financially with over 30 lakhs in credit card and personal loan debts. I tried contributing by working in schools, taking up modeling assignments, and tutoring students, but nothing seemed to work.
I still remember I used to print copies of my resume and walked kilometers to different schools to drop off my resume. Our financial situation had collapsed completely, and I realized that we needed to rebuild from the ground up.
It was then that a tarot card reader advised me to pursue Tarot professionally. Despite initial reluctance, I found success and fulfillment in helping others through my Tarot business.
Abhishek also learned Numerology and Vastu and practiced alongside his real estate job. Over time, our financial situation began to improve. I reconciled with my mother, sister, and brother.
I became an accidental coach when my clients convinced me to teach tarot. This opened up a new income stream.
However, despite improving cash flow, our previous debts continued to strain our finances. My biggest worry was not having savings for our child’s higher education.
When the world struggled with the Covid lockdown in 2020, we also felt the pinch as my husband’s income from his real estate job completely stopped. But this gave him the opportunity to focus on his true passion, which is Numerology and Vastu. He started practicing and coaching alongside me.
In this lockdown, we saw the trend of online coaching. After much reluctance and a lot of push from Abhishek, I took my coaching business online in the second lockdown of 2021.
I got a great response, as we earned 1.3 lakhs in my very first batch. This was the most money I had ever had in a month. We were elated.
But despite initial success, the business started declining. At this point, we knew that the business had potential and we were not doing it the right way.
I started exploring the internet for ideas, and that is when the master appeared.
I immediately took the silver and gold membership and then the diamond membership, redesigned the whole business, and my coaching business took off from there. I achieved my first crore in less than 18 months and achieved over three crores in less than 30 months of joining.
It was the mindset shift and techniques I learned from Sidz and the ILH community that I was able to go from a debt of 30 lakhs to a revenue of 3 crores.
Geetha, I must tell you:
“I am now a professional Graphotherapist.”
“I am now a professional Yoga practitioner.”
“I resigned as a software professional, thanks to Menopause, and now I am living a life full of joy as an artist.”
From not being able to afford to go to a hill station to 3 international trips a year.
Most importantly, giving the best life to our child.
This clumsy girl has found her hero and the fairy tale life she always wanted.
