On the night of May 5th, 2022, my business, which had been soaring to new heights, suddenly came to a standstill. Not too long ago, I had been an IT professional, earning a modest ₹50,000 per month. But then, something extraordinary happened.
As a coach, I started making over ₹5 lakhs per month, with 100% profit through purely organic methods. It was an exhilarating experience! The adrenaline rush of success was unlike anything I had ever felt before. I vividly recall taking over 25 calls a day, working relentlessly because the money was pouring in.
However, there was a critical flaw in my approach—I was a solopreneur, navigating this journey without any technology, systems, or support structures in place. I was relying solely on my drive and determination. The relentless pace eventually led to burnout, and my health began to deteriorate. I developed a throat nodule. In a devastating turn of events, I lost my voice—the very tool essential to my business.
But wait, I might be getting ahead of myself. Let’s rewind a bit and start from the beginning.
I’m Vinali Date. From a young age, I’ve always been a daydreamer, driven by ambition and a go-getter attitude. These qualities have consistently propelled me to overachieve in everything I set my mind to.
My dream was to pursue an MBBS degree and become a doctor, but life had different plans for me. Instead of following the path to medicine, I found myself on a rollercoaster ride that led me to a career in IT. While I was successful in my job, the constant juggling between motherhood and a demanding career eventually became overwhelming, so I made the difficult decision to resign from my job and focus on my own well-being.
With my newfound free time, I turned my attention to my own health. I immersed myself in studying nutrition and dietetics, working diligently on my transformation. Understanding the body and learning how to keep it fit felt like a small fulfilment of my medical dreams. I started helping others deal with obesity, guiding them toward sustainable weight loss. The results were incredible, and soon, my reputation spread. Success knocked on my door in a way I had never imagined.
But then, on the morning of May 5th, 2021, just after celebrating my child’s birthday, I woke up to a terrifying realization—I could barely speak.
For someone as talkative and energetic as I had always been, this was devastating. The burnout from overworking had caught up with me, and I was forced onto a year-long course of steroid medication.
The side effects were brutal—I gained 30 kilograms, and with that weight came the loss of my confidence, my joy, and the spark that had always made me, me.
Suddenly, the fitness coach who had once inspired others was now struggling with her own body. I became a prisoner in my own home, hiding away from the world. Despite having helped thousands of people, I felt unworthy of the title "fitness coach." It began to feel like a burden, something I was no longer worthy of. I caged myself within the four walls of my room, avoiding the world’s brutal judgment.
This was the lowest point in my life, and I felt utterly lost. But as they say, when one door closes, another opens. And then, when I was at my lowest, an angel appeared. I stumbled upon an ad from Siddharth. I attended his webinar, and even though it was all new to me, I kept listening, kept observing, and slowly, I began to take action. I decided to upgrade to his Diamond Membership, and that’s when everything truly began to change.
Sidz became the mirror I needed, reflecting to me all the mistakes I had made in my business that had led me to this point. He guided me with wisdom and clarity, showing me the path forward.
Learning 1: One of the first things Sidz taught me was the power of one-to-many programs. Up until that point, I had been working with around 80 one-on-one clients every month, exhausting myself in the process. Sidz showed me how small my game was when, with half the effort, I could serve ten times more clients through group programs. I shifted my focus from one-on-one coaching to a one-to-many model, and it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The burden of trying to do everything myself was no longer necessary. I could help more people while also reclaiming some semblance of balance in my life.
Learning 2: With more clients came more responsibilities, but instead of feeling overwhelmed, I felt empowered. Sidz helped me build systems and integrate technology into my business, allowing me to serve my clients more effectively without burning out. This was a game-changer for me. For the first time, I felt like I had control over my business rather than the other way around.
Learning 3: Sidz urged us to find our niche, and I chose post-pregnancy weight loss. But as I began working with more women, I discovered an even deeper need—many were struggling to conceive. Unintentionally, I had stumbled upon a new niche: helping women naturally overcome infertility. I was no longer just helping women lose weight; I was helping them achieve their dreams of becoming mothers.
Learning 4: After a year of hiding from the world, I finally stepped out of my self-imposed cage and reintroduced myself to the world. I received my Hall of Fame award, reconnected with amazing mentors, and enrolled in the Quantum Leap program. In the process, I found myself again. I decided to rebrand as the “Unfit Fitness Coach,” embracing my vulnerability and imperfections rather than hiding behind a mask of false confidence. And you know what? The world didn’t reject me—instead, they accepted me, appreciated me, and my business flourished. My sales doubled, and I realized that my true self—unfiltered, vulnerable, and authentic—was far more relatable and cherished than any polished facade I could have presented.
The journey to cure myself of the medical issues I faced also led me to a new certification in naturopathy. This allowed me to expand my services and help women conceive naturally.
I’ll never forget the morning at 5 AM when I received a call from one of my clients. Seeing the missed call, I rang her back at 7 AM, worried that something might be wrong.
Amidst all this, I attended a Rodinhood meeting where I received the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" as a gift from Alok Kejriwal. This book completely changed my perspective. I finally understood what was missing in my life. And from that moment onward, I began asking God for just one thing:
When she picked up, I heard her crying on the other end. Through her tears, she managed to say, “Vinali, I’m pregnant. The whole world told me I could never be a mother, but you gave me hope. Today, my dream has come true.” As she spoke, tears welled up in my own eyes. Her words connected the dots of my life in a way I had never expected. All those years of regretting not becoming a doctor suddenly made sense. I wasn’t meant to prescribe medicine; I was destined to help people live a life free from it.
Today, I stand at a place I once thought I had lost forever. I have rebuilt my business, touching the lives of over 4,000 women and helping more than 250 conceive naturally without any medical interventions. I’ve crossed the ₹1 crore profit mark organically in my coaching business, proving to myself and others that it’s possible to achieve great things with integrity and persistence. I didn’t just recover my health; I rebuilt my entire life and became a stronger, more fulfilled version of myself.
Siddharth, I cannot thank you enough for being that guiding light at the end of the darkest tunnel in my life. When I thought I had lost everything—my health, my confidence, my business—you showed me the path not just to recovery, but to excellence. Thank you, Sidz, for helping me discover my true purpose and for giving me the tools to achieve it.
So, how do you not earn ₹1 crore? By thinking that money alone defines success. By chasing numbers without considering the toll it takes on your health, your relationships, and your spirit. I had to lose it all—my voice, my health, my confidence—to learn that true success isn’t about the money you make. It’s about the lives you touch, the difference you make, and the person you become in the process.
Today, I stand proudly as the “Unfit Fitness Coach,” embracing my flaws, my vulnerabilities, and my truth. I’ve learned that it’s okay to lose your way because sometimes, that’s the only way to truly find yourself. And if there’s one thing I hope my story inspires, it’s this: Don’t be afraid to embrace your journey, no matter how imperfect it may seem. In those imperfections, you might just find your greatest strength.
