I'm a Sindhi businessman. Well, it doesn't end here. I am a Sindhi businessman by family inheritance and profession, or, you can say, a coach and trainer by passion.
My passion for teaching dates back to when I was in the ninth standard. When I was selected as the only individual from my school and state to be a part of a global women's health awareness campaign launched by UNICEF.
We visited remote villages to educate people about women's menstrual health and safety measures and all things alike. The results from the campaigns were such that I had to fly down to Delhi to receive an award from the President of India.
I was given a flight ticket, and my family was equally surprised. They didn't believe it at first. When I packed my bags to finally leave for the airport, that was the time when my family actually believed me. This was way back in the early 1990s.
At that time, traveling by flight for a lower-middle-class family was a very big deal!
I still remember that when I got the ticket home, my family at first thought it was a mock ticket. Comes the period when you're focused on building a career. I wanted to become a doctor. With 92% in my 10+2 PCMB, I didn't have any other choice but to drop out of my choice to become a doctor due to financial incapabilities. I then decided to complete my Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy before joining my family business.
I always wanted to do something of my own. One day, at the dinner table, I announced to my family that I would like to move to Mumbai to do something big in the entertainment world. I remember my brother saying this to me when I told him about my wish to be an actor. “क्या? तू Actor बनेगा? तू Tv पर आएगा? अगर तू 22 Inch की Screen में से 1*1 के Square में दिख गया ना, मान जाऊंगा तुझे।”
When I decided to take that leap of faith, I left Pune with 50,000 in hand and started searching for roles in the television industry. There came a point in life where I hadn't bagged any projects, and the savings I left Pune with were nearing their end. At that time, for a person to stay in Mumbai, the average cost of living was Rs 15,000 per month. I started looking for a corporate job to help me survive in the city of my dreams.
I gave Interview after interview, and utilized my Sindhi businessman mind to clock a salary package of 15,000, exactly what I needed to survive! I worked my corporate job during the night and gave auditions during the day. There came a point where I bagged the lead role in Ayushman on Sony TV, and they gave me 100,000 for 25 episodes.
The day my first episode aired, I won a little. I knew there was so much more I could do. I continued to be a part of the glamour world for nine years, where I also happened to meet my wife, Shweta Shinde. She is an actor turned producer and produces films and TV shows for the Marathi industry.
Being the opportunist that I am, whenever I see an opportunity, I grab it. I came back to Pune when I got an opportunity to work with my in-laws at their manufacturing plant, where they made control panels for machines used by the defense sector. It makes me feel good that I played a small role in serving my nation.
A few years later, I was bestowed with another opportunity, where I joined hands with my brother and grew our traditional saree business. Currently, we have four stores spread all across Pune, and we generate a revenue of 50 crores selling sarees.
The operation went on for more than 18 hours. We got her back to Pune after 45 days. The moment we were back in Pune, I decided to leverage the power of the Internet for my traditional business and started training myself for digital marketing.
In January 2020, I started learning digital marketing at an institute in Pune. Offline training had just begun, and then came March! 22nd March 2020. Covid hit. The lockdown was announced. Life came to a standstill. Covid changed the course of our lives.
For the first time in our lives, we, as employers, didn't answer our employees' phones. We didn't know how to answer them. 250 families were dependent on us. We had mass. We had more than enough stocks and inventories in our stores, our stores were locked. On the other hand, people were sitting at home, baking, selling, making money, and partying too.
I saw the common man, mainly the daily wage workers, walk from extreme corners of the country up north to reach their homes and their villages. With so many experiences, lockdown was new for all of us.
The digital world had seen a rise, and when I saw these laborers walk miles, I realized that these are the ones who need to be taught everything about the digital world. I sat by my window, through which I could see the highway and these laborers walking, and I thought to myself, Who will teach them, Who will take the responsibility to uplift the common man?
I asked myself, Why others? Why can't you take on this responsibility to educate the common man and make a difference in their lives? That night, I couldn't sleep. From that moment onward until today, I have not looked back.
During the same period, I came across the Digital Masters Alliance, where the nine masters shared the stage and educated us about the revolution this digital world was going to bring.
That is where I came across my mentor, Siddharth Rajasekar. The moment Sidz started speaking, I knew I had met my guru, my mentor. I knew this was the right thing to do. The inner voice told me I was on the right path. I said to myself, Sandeep, beta, you do as your guru asks you to do. In June 2020, I took up the Silver Membership, and within a month, I upgraded to Diamond Membership.
I started learning digital marketing in-depth. I woke up at 4 a.m. and learned throughout the day. Started understanding how this works, the systems, strategies, and so much more. I learned from all nine masters. Made sure to gain as much knowledge as I could. Then came a reality check. How do I teach? I'm not from the training industry and have no experience. How do I do this?
I once heard Rajeev Talreja say this online, and it stayed with me for a very long time. "Everyone wants to become a trainer, but have you taught anyone yet?" As the man full of ideas that I am, this one idea changed the game for me, I can say.
I have a massive WhatsApp contact list. I shot a video message saying I'll be teaching digital marketing live, on Zoom, for 20 days straight. To my surprise, on the very first day, my Zoom room was full. I had to go live on Facebook!
As the sessions progressed, 80 people attended all my sessions consistently. Towards the end of 20 sessions, I pitched. I made an irresistible offer. All recordings, with lifetime access, at just Rs 1999. 25 people paid. I thought to myself, Wow! This works. This is magical.
After this, I started taking up additional courses and made sure to attend every single ILH session live. Be it the Hackathons, or Inner Circle Calls. I completed all my courses.
In March 2020, I launched Digital Azadi. I was on a mission to empower over a million people to learn, implement, and earn with the power of digital marketing. Digital Azadi is an amalgamation of two words. Digital from digital marketing, and Azadi from financial freedom.
Sidz, with the vibe and aura that he creates, and the way his thoughts, words, and actions align, has had a massive impact on who I am as a person. When he says "ILH family," he does mean family for sure. Each member helps the other, there is absolutely no holding back.
The Sindhi business community where I come from doesn't usually share secrets or what's working for them in business. They restrict themselves. They don't want to let each other succeed. When I came to ILH, I saw each member share everything they knew and do everything in their capacity to help the one in need. Be it with setting up systems, automation, or Facebook ads. You ask for help, and it arrives.
The oneness, the feeling of belongingness, and the warmth of the community are all you feel when you join the ILH. Each program is designed in such a way that if followed to the T, without applying further brainpower, doing more than thinking, is enough to get you the desired results.
Hackathons made implementation doable, and consistency was evident in the results. ILH energy has been uplifting! Hives are awesome. Just awesome. Then came the massive growth period. I joined the Quantum Club in 2022! Massive shifts started to happen as I took a big leap and joined the Spartans Quantum Club along with the other 24 members.
Quantum pretty much changed the game. Clarity, creation, accountability, community, and so much more. Being near world-class trainers makes you one. Yes, a world-class trainer. When they say vibe attracts tribe, they're hinting out here. Quantum is impactful. Quantum is the real breakthrough. I started to see some amazing results post Quantum.
When each one shares, everyone learns. In-depth analysis, collaborations, and growth. Everything.
Internet Lifestyle Hub and Sidz inspired me to get into training full-time, but with a clear intent in mind and heart. ILH has opened a door full of opportunities for each one of us to explore and jump into creating a difference in the education world, thereby impacting lives and resulting in the betterment of society.
On a personal front, I work from home, I have freedom of movement, I get to be with my daughter all the time, and I am now running multiple funnels thanks to the power of automation. Never did I imagine leaving my traditional business and making money from the comforts of my home with the only intention of serving.
The journey has been nothing short of transformational. The impact it has created on me, my family, and the people I associate with, is remarkable. At times, it feels like I'm a Neo. I see the Matrix. The foolproof formula to make you a megastar in the training and coaching industry is Sidz. Is ILH.
I now work towards making quality education affordable for the common man. They are the ones who need nurturing at ground level. The rest of the economy will flourish! I'm truly honored and grateful to be a part of this wonderful community of world-class trainers and equally amazing individuals. What started with just one idea, today has impacted more than 1,50,000 lives, and we still have a long way to go.
Thank you, Sidz, for giving me a family, a home away from home.
On that note,
Keep learning, keep implementing
